So...

In my eagerness to go fetch hubby from the train station and therefor walking backwards while urging the girl on to put on her shoes I managed to forget that there are two steps leading down from the patio in front of dad's house and consequently fell and smashed my knee.

Apart from the bloody scratches and bruises it's swollen and hurts like hell inside when I try to walk. And this the day before we're planning to make an 8 hour drive to Uppsala. Not to mention that a vacation abroad, even if it's just Sweden (no disrespect, it's just I've lived here and then been here so many times it doesn't really feel like being abroad), means a lot of walking and if my knee doesn't make a miraculous recovery overnight it's gonna be hell. *sighs*

But hey, hubby's home!! \o/

I've noticed recently a truck load of MPreg/Children fics bouncing around livejournal (my own included, I admit) and this, coupled with complete boredom, inspired me to create somewhere where all these fics could be housed.

Thus tw_kids was born!

happy 4th of july everybody.

even though it is an election year that i am already deeply sick of and am already tired of hearing about how america is teh roxx0rs, it's still a pretty good place to be, i suppose. after all, i did get a day off today and i always rejoice when i'm not at work, even if it do have to finish a report before monday rolls around. but i slept in until 11:30 today for the first time in weeks so there are worse things that could be happening in my world currently.

i've decided i'm not really doing anything much today. i'm going out to dinner with indydc, and sowilo and datlowen and esti626, and i'm sure there'll be drinking after, so that's enough social activity for me these days i think. i may walk up to iwo jima to see the fireworks but that's probably the extent of my anything today. we'll see i suppose. its as good a day as any to start the massive who marathon i need to indulge in. AND the first season of mad men is on on demand. all of this is pretty amazing.

is anyone else doing anything fun over the holiday? i'm so boring, y'all know i have to live vicariously through others....
